College of Education

About the College

The College of Education, one of eight colleges in the university, offers undergraduate and graduate programs to prepare its students for work in public education, in community agencies, and in higher education. Programs are developed in collaboration with departments across the campus and with professionals in the field of education. Each program has been approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC), the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The College of Education and its three departments offer a comprehensive degree program which includes 6 majors for the bachelor of science in education degree, a master of arts in teaching degree, 10 master's of education degrees, 4 education specialist's degrees, and 2 doctor of education degrees.
