The Emerging Technologies Center maintains two smart classrooms (#2150 and #2151) on the second floor of the College of Education's classroom building. Each room has video conferencing capabilities. The rooms have a projector as the main student display as well as instructor monitors and a 32" plasma display for remote student view. It contains a desk mounted VCR, document camera, instructor PC, and Softboard electronic whiteboard. A room seats 30 students.
Key technologies:
- Polycom VS4000 codec (IP enabled)
- Panasonic Digital Mixer for PiP and ChromoKey
- Satellite downlink capable
- Wired Internet plugs and AC outlets at each seat.
Room 2150 is also used for software training purposes with a computer at each station.
