Center Goals
  • Clarify the role of the GCER by identifying research and outreach projects consistent with the mission of the Center and pursing them collaboratively with school partners.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues of the College of Education (COE) to secure external funding for their scholarship and outreach to schools.
  • Align the activities with the functions of the GCER (P-20) schools in enhancing student achievement placing by promoting pedagogy that meets the needs of diverse learners to include underrepresented and under-served populations in all content areas and issues of equity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues within COE, and university Centers such as: The National Youth at Risk Center, Center for the Study of International Schooling, Center for Public Health Practice and Research, Karl E. Peace Center for Biostatistics and Survey Research, Center for Addiction Recovery, Center for Sustainability, Institute for Public and Nonprofit Studies, Rural Nursing Outreach and local community organizations.
