Welcome Dr. Chubin!
It is with great delight that the Georgia Center for Educational Renewal announces the appointment of Dr. Daryl Chubin as the center’s first Senior Fellow. An appointment to the position of Senior Fellow is a recognition of the expertise and lifetime achievements of Dr. Chubin. His experiences at the Whitehouse, American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the National Science Foundation (NSF) include the development of education policy and programs grounded in democracy and social justice directed towards helping underrepresented student populations achieve academically in general and in the science fields in particular.
The Latin American Studies Minor certifies inter-disciplinary study of the history, language, society, and culture of Latin American, the Caribbean, and its people throughout the Americas. The Minor is available to all students in the university and allows them to supplement their Major with in-depth study of the region. As part of the Minor, students are encouraged to take advantage of study abroad programs in Latin America that are organized by the Center for International Studies.
