Arline R. A. C. Edwards-Joseph, Ph.D.

General Background:

Dr. Edwards-Joseph is originally from the twin island nation of Antigua and Barbuda in the West Indies and completed her Ph.D. at North Carolina State University in Raleigh NC.  She has worked as a counselor both the United States and in the Caribbean.  Dr. Edwards-Joseph is passionate about globalization issues and how it affects the counseling profession.  She believes that counselors are in strategic positions throughout the world, both in schools and in the community, to serve as leaders in the globalization process.

  • Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision. North Carolina State University, 2008.

  • Certificates in Addiction Treatment Laban’s Specific Training, Harrisburg, PA, NBCC Approved program, 2000-2002

  • Master of Education in Counseling. North Carolina Central University, 2000.

  • Bachelor of Art in Psychology, North Carolina Central University, 1993

  • Three years of course work toward a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Hampton University, 1988 to 1992.
