M.A.T. Health and Physical Education
*This program will only admit for the Statesboro campus for Summer 2018.
What background do I need?
The Health and Physical Education certification (P-12) is for candidates who already hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Public Health or a closely-related field. Candidates who do not hold a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Public Health, or a closely-related field may need to enroll in additional courses. The total credit hours for the degree are dependent on previous course work completed in the area of certification.
What certification will I be eligible for upon completion of this concentration?
Upon successful completion of all program requirements and passing the appropriate GACE exam, you will be eligible for Georgia T-5 Health and Physical Education Certification (P-12). The program is an NCATE accredited, Georgia Professional Standard’s Commission approved program that is recognized through reciprocity in many other states in the U.S.
