Duties/Responsibilities:
Reports to the Vice President of Community College Affairs. Responsible for directing all aspects of the Developmental Education Program at WCCC, including hiring, training and evaluating staff, curriculum development, scheduling classes and staff, directing activities in the Student Learning Center, teaching developmental classes, administrating testing and assessments, and working with Mesa State College faculty and staff to assure that the student outcomes meet the expectations of the general education curriculum. Additional duties and responsibilities include:
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, curriculum development experience, and an understanding of the value developmental programs provide to individual students and higher education systems. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master's degree in a related field of study, to applicants with at least five years of teaching experience in developmental/remedial education at the college level, to applicants with experience in managing personnel, and/or to applicants with experience managing a student learning center in a community college setting.
