1. Learner-centered Instruction: Teach courses in Developmental English and Reading. Continuously assess student learning to maintain and improve course and program curriculum and instruction. Promote learner-centered scheduling, including evening courses, off-campus courses, web-enhanced and web-delivered courses.

2. Curriculum Development: Develop and/or revise course(s) in collaboration with colleagues. Propose and develop interdepartmental course offerings that meet student needs.

3. Technology: Integrate instructional technology as appropriate in the disciplines of Reading and Developmental English, including exploration of online course delivery, contextualized and modularized courses, web-enhanced course components and lab instruction.

4. Involvement: Support College-wide initiatives and serve on committees. Mentor and support adjunct faculty.

5. Professional Development: Initiate and maintain active participation in professional development opportunities in content areas and in teaching effectiveness.

6. Philosophy: Continually strive to achieve the college Mission, Vision and Purposes.

Requirements:

1. Master's degree in English or closely related field with coursework in developmental writing and reading required. At least 18 graduate hours in English, Reading, or Education.

2. Experience teaching developmental writing and reading courses is essential.

3. Knowledge of Blackboard or other course management software preferred.
