Instructor Mathematics (Tenure Track)

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Duties/Responsibilities:
ò Learner-centered Instruction: Teach mathematics courses according to relevant student learning objectives. Regularly assess student learning to continuously improve instruction. Teach evening and/or off-campus courses, if necessary. Provide office hours conducive to student schedules. Assist with the development and services of the new Math Resource Center.
ò Curriculum Development: Develop and/or revise course(s) in collaboration with colleagues. Propose and develop interdepartmental course offerings that meet the articulation requirements in mathematics.
ò Technology: Integrate instructional technology as appropriate in the discipline of mathematics, including appropriate use of graphing calculators in both developmental and transfer-level courses. Be willing to learn to use on-line course delivery and/or web-enhanced course components, should the need arise.
ò Involvement: Support College-wide initiatives and serve on committees. Mentor and support adjunct faculty in Mathematics.
ò Professional Development: Initiate and maintain active participation in professional development opportunities that encompass the disciplines of mathematics and teaching effectiveness.
ò Philosophy: Continually strive to achieve the college Mission, Vision and Purposes.
Requirements:
ò Master's degree in mathematics from an accredited college/university required.
ò Teaching experience at the college level in mathematics preferred.
ò Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college required
