Duties/Responsibilities:
Position description: Nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track lecturer position with the Liberal Studies Bridge Program. Bridge is a federally funded TRiO program committed to helping low-income, first generation students to access and persist in their university studies.
Responsibilities: Teach developmental courses in mathematics; coordinate study groups in selected math and science courses, train and supervise student workers. Oversee math/science placement testing and tracking. Serve as academic advisor for a number of Bridge program participants; collaborate with University mathematics and science faculty on curriculum development.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Master's degree preferred and significant teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level. The successful candidate will have experience with and knowledge of the challenges facing the post-secondary attainment of low income, first generation college students.
