Duties/Responsibilities:
The Director of the Writing/Tutoring Center participates in a comprehensive academic support system and is responsible for establishing, managing and providing services that are designed to improve students' skills via the peer tutoring program and designing supplementary programs to increase classroom success. The Director teaches one or more sections of the University's first year experience course, serves as an academic advisor to students, and supports the University's persistence efforts.

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in a related field and one year's experience working in an educational role; effective communication skills; and knowledge about program assessment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with tutor supervision, program development, and Supplemental Instructor training; experience providing academic support for underprepared or educationally disadvantaged college students as well as experience with data management systems.
OTHER: Any combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in a related field and progressively responsible related work experience may be considered.
