Duties/Responsibilities:
This position will have primary responsibility for teaching University Studies courses for first-time freshmen and transfer students. Additional duties include academic advisement, assessment and teaching of study skills, note-taking, test-taking, assistance with registration, assistance with developing and implementing programs and activities that will increase retention of at risk students, as well as planning of support and enrichment activities which will ensure program effectiveness. Service on department and University committees is required. Occasional evening and weekend work required. This a ten-month, non-tenure track position.
Qualifications:
Required: Master's degree from an accredited institution. Preferred: Teaching and advisement experience in an academic support program in higher education settings.
