Assistant/Associate Professor, Developmental Mathematics

Duties/Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities include teaching 30 credit hours per academic year (6 courses, quarter system), including two (2) evening courses.  Works closely with the Mathematics Specialist and the Math Lab at the Academic Support Center in the preparation of presentations and workshops for other full- and part-time faculty and staff involved in teaching developmental mathematics. 

Requirements:

Ph.D. in Mathematics Education (or related education field) with a specialty in developmental mathematics required.  ABD candidates will be considered if completion of dissertation requirements is imminent.  Preference given to individuals with prior teaching experience at secondary or collegiate levels.  Strong commitment to quality teaching and to the objectives of liberal arts education is essential.
