The vision of the Oak Grove School restoration project is to preserve and understand the contributions of the one-room school in its era. The project will preserve the stories, the sense of time and place, the sacrifices of early educators, the state's heritage of race relations, and the benefits that we all share as a result of this early model of free education for all children and youth.
