Student Teaching Experience, Fall Semester 2008
August 15, 2008 - Student Teaching Orientation, College of Education, Room 1115. (Mandatory)
8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Registration,
8:30 - 10:15 a.m. Student Teaching Orientation,
10:15 - Break
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 Meeting with University Supervisor
**Be sure to bring your copy of Guidelines for Student Teaching. It may be purchased in the University Store.
August 18, 2008- First Official Day in Student Teaching Site
October 13, 2008 - Last Day to Withdraw without Academic Penalty.
October 22, 2008- Eagle Expo/Education Career Day, RAC 9:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.- Excused Absence.
December 5, 2008 - Last Day in Assigned School.
December 8, 2008 - Final Seminar, (MANDATORY), TBA
9:00 - 10:00 - Early Childhood - TBA
10:30 - 11:30 - All other programs - TBA
December 8 - 11, 2008 - Final Conferences with University Supervisor (evaluation submitted at this time.)
December 12, 2008 - Commencement
During FALL SEMESTER 2008 - Dates for Spring 2009 Student Teaching Experience
Second Week of Classes - Block/Practicum Instructors inform students about how to access the application for student teaching.. Questions about the application may be directed to the Office of Undergraduate Teacher Education (912) 478-5247.
September 5, 2008 - Student Teaching Application for Spring 2009 are due. All forms must be received online in the Office of Undergraduate Teacher Education by 5 p.m. (ISO Application applications due in hardcopy.)
September 5, 2008 - Deadline to register for SGAE or SPAGE.
Mid-Semester - Contact your academic advisor regarding registration for Spring 2009 student teaching.
