Georgia Southern University’s
Reading Endorsement
Department of Curriculum,
Foundations and Reading
The Georgia Reading Endorsement is available to PreK-12
classroom teachers through PSC approved programs that guarantee teachers
have demonstrated competency at assessing students’ literacy needs
and planning appropriate instruction.
In addition to on-campus offerings at their respective
institutions, members of the University System of Georgia Reading Consortium
have also collaboratively designed two models which incorporate distance-learning
options. These models incorporate web-based course work to provide access
to the Reading Endorsement preparation for teachers who may have difficulties
attending on-campus courses during this year.
