COE Students Look Forward to Fall Commencement

As the end of the semester draws near, nearly 300 College of Education students have something more to celebrate. According to university statistics, 272 COE students have completed degree requirements. Fall graduation takes place Friday, December 16.

COE graduates will participate in the 11:00 a.m. ceremony at Hanner Fieldhouse. Speaking to the graduates will be E. Lynne Weisenback, Vice Chancellor for Educator Preparation, Innovation and Research at the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG). She is responsible for the USG’s strategic goals on educator preparation, college access and completion, and serves as the USG liaison with other state agencies and national partners in those arenas.

COE has the following number of students slated to complete degree requirements at the end of Fall 2011: 100 Undergraduates; 103 Master’s; 38 Specialist; and 31 Doctorate. Approximately 1,261 Georgia Southern students completed degree requirements at the end of Fall 2011.
