What is Assistive Technology?

Assistive technology (AT) represents any piece of equipment or product system used to increase,
maintain, or improve functional capabilities of a child with disabilities. Georgia Southern
University recognizes the importance of AT in the classroom from K-12 to higher education and
strives to provide resources necessary for understanding, acquiring, adopting, using, and/or
implementing AT. Use the links below to explore the variety of AT resources available to

Assistive Technology Resources

The Digital Assistive Technology Lab provides in depth information and resources for the understanding and selecting successful Assistive Technology.

The AT Learning Lending Lab (ATL3) provides training resources and the ability to borrow current Assistive Technology on both the Statesboro and Armstrong Campus.
