Online T&L Endorsement Student Learning Objectives

SLO #1 Candidates in the Ed.S.. in Instructional Technology Program will demonstrate relevant and current professional knowledge and skills at advanced levels. By the completion of the program candidates will
a. Demonstrate advanced use of research-based best practices in instructional design when designing and developing technology-enhanced learning experiences.
b. Design and develop an action-research project that demonstrates the ability to collect and analyze appropriate data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice.
c. Demonstrate advanced skills in the design and development of online and blended learning environments.
d. Evaluate, synthesize, and apply current literature in the field to a specific educational problem.

SLO #2 Candidates in the Ed.S. in Instructional Technology Program will demonstrate an advanced ability to impact student learning. By the completion of the program candidates will
a. Demonstrate advanced skills in technology-based student learning that promotes best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment.
b. Demonstrate advanced skills in the effective use of digital tools and resources to support and enhance student learning.

SLO #3 Candidates in the Ed.S. in Instructional Technology Program will demonstrate the professional dispositions that are expected of instructional technology and school library media specialists. By the completion of the program candidates will
a. Model and facilitate the use of research-based, learner-centered strategies addressing the diversity of all students.
b. Engage in and reflect on continuous learning, and demonstrate advanced levels of appropriate practice in educational settings.
c. Demonstrate continual growth in knowledge and skills in the literature of the field and apply that knowledge to professional practice.

SLO #4 Candidates in the Ed.S. in Instructional Technology Program will demonstrate advanced skills and strategies that create educational environments that support student learning. By the completion of the program candidates will
a. Research, recommend and implement strategies for initiating and sustaining technology innovations and for managing the change process in the educational environment.
b. Support and manage effective digital learning environments.
c. Investigate major research findings and trends relative to the use of technology in education to support integration throughout the educational environment.

SLO #5 Candidates in the Ed.S. in Instructional Technology Program will demonstrate appropriate standards of ethical professional behavior and develop strategies to develop digital citizenship skills in the educational environment. By the completion of the program candidates will
a. Develop and promote strategies for achieving equitable access to digital tools and resources.
b. Model and develop strategies for the safe, healthy, legal, and ethical uses of digital information and technologies.
Model and facilitate the use of digital tools and resources to support diverse student needs, enhance cultural understanding, and increase global awareness.
