Teaching and Learning Ed.S. ALL STARS

The Ed.S. in Teaching and Learning All Stars are students who have been recognized for outstanding achievement in the program. The honor reflects a commitment of time, dedication, and a high degree of academic writing to complete the capstone project in the program – the Problem of Practice.
Ed.S. students in Teaching and Learning undertake capstone projects to improve practice by solving problems and contributing to improved curriculum and instructional performance. To do this, they inquire into and analyze the nature and dimensions of a problem and establish that there is a difference between the present and the ideal state, then build a case for improvements and make persuasive recommendations for action. Once students identify their problem of practice, the form of disciplined inquiry translates into an instructional development plan of improvement targets (goals) and finalized in a substantial thesis.
