M.Ed. in Reading Education
The master’s in Reading Education program (M.Ed.) combines theory with practice and prepares its’ graduates for the fast changing world of literacy preparation at all levels, PK-12. Reading is essential to each student’s growth, and educators who are passionate about literacy can help children take the steps they need to become successful, independent readers.
After successful completion of the Reading Education master’s degree and earning a passing score on the GACE Reading Content Assessment, graduates qualify for certification to teach reading/literacy in grades PreK – 12 and to provide instructional support for teaching reading/literacy to classroom teachers and paraprofessionals.
