Katz publishes literacy article in international publication

Anne Katz, Ph.D.
, associate professor in the Department of Curriculum, Foundations and Reading, recently published a chapter entitled “Cultivating Visual Literacy among Preschool through Middle School Students: Strategies and Applications” in the  International Visual Literacy Association Book of  Selected Readings.

Katz gave two presentations at the International Visual Literacy Association Conference in Chicago in early November– “Constructing Arts-Based Literacy Practices through Kwame Alexander’s The Playbook: 52 Rules to Aim, Shoot, and Score in this Game Called Life” and “Curating Online Learning Spaces for M.Ed. Students through a Visual Literacy Lens.”
