Peggy Shannon-Baker, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum, Foundations and Reading, presenting a paper she co-authored with others at the 2019 American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting held in Toronto, Canada, April 5-9. The paper, titled “Poetry as Truth: DeSchooling the USA, AERA, & Ivan Illich SIG,” is a poetry-based and visual arts infused performance of our reflections of being teacher-researchers, and the transformative power of poetry to communicate our experiences.
