TechTrends named top 25% of Springer journals

Charles Hodges, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Leadership, Technology and Human Development, is in his seventh year as the editor-in-chief of TechTrends, a leading journal for professionals in the educational communication and technology field.

Recently Spring Nature released data from yearlong research collected from journal authors providing feedback on their publishing experience and revealed that TechTrends ranked in the top 25% of “editorial excellence” as determined by a five-point scale reviewing the editorial advice and comments as well as the peer review process of the journal.

“I’m thrilled to see that my work with this journal and the authors who contribute from around the world is being recognized,” said Hodges.

In the last two years, Springer published more than 2,190 journals and survey responses were received from over 80,000 authors. The prior year’s data is used to identify the journals that are recognized each year.

“We thank the exceptional editors, past and present, who contributed to these achievements, as well as all of our valued journal editors and board members, for their continued dedication to advancing research,” Spring Nature said in a release. “The work, commitment, and passion brought to Springer Nature journals each day is greatly appreciated.”
